Teenage Weight Loss

When I first started, I was definitely not the skinniest of children. I ate whatever, whenever, and did not enjoy exercising. I was the typical child who simply had no knowledge of my terrible eating habits. Not only has Brooke got me to lose weight and keep it off, but changed my life completely. I now love to go to the gym and to eat healthy. Prior to receiving help from Brooke, I made numerous attempts to eat healthy, but unfortunately I did not succeed in any of those attempts. Finally, after speaking with her I was able to change my lifestyle and eating habits. Ultimately I lost a total of 30 pounds going from a maximum of about 135 pounds to about 105 pounds. I no longer refer to myself as being on a diet, but as living a healthy lifestyle instead.

DIABETES MANAGEMENT

"When I was recently diagnosed with type II diabetes, and listened to Brook'es advice, big changes happened on my glucose readings. When we started our sessions my low readings were in the 150’s and my highs were above the 225’s . Now it’s the opposite, my 150 once in a while are the highs. But I am staying between the normal readings between 89 and 120. Thank you! I feel great now! My habits were regular white rice, tortilla, bread, crackers, and chips. Now, brown rice, vegetables, fruits. But the major change was the rice I think. I was used to eating white rice all my entire life far as I can remember. Now I enjoy eating by doing it in a slower pace and I do like brown rice now. I appreciate all you have done in helping me and teaching me how to eat and what to eat."

She taught me more about what constitutes “gluten” and how to easily adopt a gluten-free lifestyle. I now know how to eat gluten-free the “healthy way” without making myself crazy.
